The Youth
At Sachh, we believe that today’s Youth possess a unique perspective that is invaluable to promoting positive change throughout the world.
One of the major obstacles in the path towards a better world is prejudice, which is fueled by universal stereotypes aimed at dividing groups of people. Children are unique in that they are not yet affected by these prejudices, and instead, look at the world with fresh eyes and a purity that gets lost with age and experience. This purity fosters a unique sense of curiosity and adventure in the minds of our youth; instead of accepting things as truth, children seek to make sense of the world and ask important questions that are often overlooked by more experienced individuals.
Our founder, Sankalp Mohan Sharma, said it best in his 2019 Tedx Talk: “As we grow older, we start accepting facts instead of understanding them.” At Sachh, we aim to tap into the curiosity of our youth through projects focused on sustainability, and emphasize the importance of knowledge and understanding in a world filled with complex problems and complex individuals. Our youth internship programs push the boundaries of conventionality to develop projects focused on sustainable development throughout the world. By connecting the brightest and most ambitious youth minds throughout the world, we hope to communicate a love of learning that transcends lectures and lessons.
Our programs focus on the 17 Sustainable Development goals set by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015. With these goals as the backbone of our foundation, we create simple projects with a lasting impact. Past projects have included donating over 12,000 pieces of clothing to slums around the world, collecting shoes for children who played barefoot due to a lack of resources, and helping those affected by the Kerala floods in 2018. The drive behind the Sachh foundation comes directly from the ambition and passion of the youth, who are unafraid to question stereotypes and norms in their search to improve our world. The ultimate goal of Team Sachh is to connect young minds from cities and organizations in every country to form the largest organization of youth leaders.
